Regular Order Minimum

Cookies are sold by the dozen. Regular orders require a minimum purchase of 2 dozen cookies.

Wedding & Special Occasion Order Minimum

Weddings, graduations, holidays, showers, parties, and other bulk event orders require a minimum purchase of 6 dozen cookies.

Lead Time

Wedding orders should be placed at least 6 months before the wedding date. Other special occasion orders should be placed at least 4 months before the event date. Shorter-notice requests may be considered based on availability.

Deposits for Wedding & Special Occasion Orders

Bulk cookie orders require a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the total cookie price. This deposit reserves the order and is deducted from the final balance. Customers may also choose to pay the full amount upfront.

Final Payment Deadline

Final payment for wedding and special occasion orders is due no later than seven (7) days before the scheduled event unless otherwise agreed upon. Orders with unpaid balances after that deadline may be canceled at Kathy's Cookies' discretion. In such cases, all deposits and any payments previously made become non-refundable and will be retained by Kathy's Cookies to offset reserved production time, planning, purchased ingredients, and work already performed.

Payment Methods & Timing

Kathy’s Cookies accepts cash or money order only. No credit or debit card payments are accepted through the website. Unless otherwise agreed upon, required payments or deposits must be received within seven (7) days after the order is submitted. Orders not paid within that timeframe may be canceled.

Pickup & Delivery

Local pickup is available in the greater Youngstown/Warren area. Event delivery may be available by request based on location, date, schedule, and order size. Customers may call, email, or message Kathy with questions, special requests, or possible exceptions. Delivery radius and delivery fees will be confirmed later.

Pickup Policy

Customers are responsible for picking up their orders at the agreed-upon date and time unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.

If a customer is unable to arrive as scheduled, Kathy's Cookies requests that they contact us as soon as possible so accommodations can be discussed.

Orders that are not picked up within twenty-four (24) hours of the scheduled pickup time without prior communication or approved arrangements may be considered abandoned and may be discarded or otherwise disposed of at Kathy's Cookies' discretion. Due to the perishable and custom nature of our products, abandoned orders are not eligible for refunds or credits.

Allergy & Kitchen Information

Kathy’s Cookies are prepared in a smoke-free, pet-free home kitchen. Products are made in a kitchen where peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, and other common allergens may be present. Customers must disclose allergy or dietary concerns before placing an order.

Order Changes & Cancellations

Due to the custom nature of our products and the advance planning required, all deposits are non-refundable to reserve your place on our baking schedule.

Requests to change pickup dates, quantities, flavors, or designs may be accommodated whenever possible but cannot be guaranteed.

Orders canceled by the customer are not eligible for a refund of the deposit. Payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded at Kathy's Cookies' discretion based on work already completed and ingredients purchased.

In rare cases involving emergencies or extraordinary circumstances, Kathy's Cookies reserves the right to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.

Wedding deposits secure your event date and prevent that time from being reserved for another customer. For this reason, deposits cannot be refunded once paid.

Automated Order Management

Wedding and special occasion orders can generate an internal order record, customer confirmation, Kathy notification, balance tracking, payment reminders, and status updates. In this demo, those items are simulated on-screen and stored locally in the browser.

Cottage Food & Home Bakery Notice

Kathy's Cookies operates as a home-based bakery in accordance with applicable Ohio laws and regulations governing cottage food and home bakery operations. Products are prepared in a residential kitchen that is not subject to routine government inspection.
